Grave Robber
INT. INSIDE THE BEDROOM OF MARGARETT MILLER. - NIGHT

Margarett Miller is sleeping in her bed, but her rest looks to be anything but comfortable.
She tosses and turns, the cover seeming to constrict around her body. Her hair
is knotted and messy, her face is constricted in the affects of a nightmare.
A short burst of noise comes from her mouth as she sits up quickly, her eyes
wide and bloodshot. Her mouth moves quickly, trying to form words but only one
sound escapes.

			Margarett
			“No...”

After speaking the single word, Margarett falls backwards onto her bed. Sweat
has begun to trickle down her face and her eyes close. She fades off into a now
dreamless sleep.

EXT. SCENE CHANGES FROM MARGARETT MILLER’S BEDROOM TO A DARK ALLEY. - NIGHT

Two men are standing in the alley. Both have seen better days as they are
covered in rags. The first man is shaking and leaning against the wall. The
second is holding a bottle and offers it to the first.

			First Bum
“Get that away from me! After what I just saw I don’t
			want any of that!”

			Second Bum
			“What did you just see?”

			First Bum
			“I saw a ghost.”

			Second Bum
“A ghost? You’re right, get this away from you. You
			don’t need anymore!”

			First Bum
“I’m not drunk you fool! I saw it!”

In fact, he had seen a ghost. The two were unaware that it was now behind
them, looking down with black eyes. A cloud of smoke that peered down at the
two figures below.

			The Voice of the Ghost
			“Where..did he..go?”

			Second Bum
			“What did you say?”

			First Bum
			“I-I-I didn’t say nothing.”

The two turn slowly, spotting the formless shape. Both let out a scream and
try to run. The first falls to the ground, tripping over trash in the alley.
The second turns, but is snatched by the hair.

			The Ghost
			“Where..did he..go?”

			Second Bum
“I don’t know what you’re talking about! Let us go..we
			don’t know about nothing!”

			The Ghost (Now howling)
			“Where..did he..go?”

The man struggles in the grasp, trying to free himself. Tears stream down his
face as the spins him around, looking into his face. The first man is back on his
feet behind the cloud and his friend. He stares for a few seconds before turning
and running.

			The Ghost
			“You..will die.”

A claw is formed from the smoke and slashes across the face of the bum. Blood
splatters the wall as the ghost drops the lifeless body to the ground. The shape
then turns, screeching as it shoots around the corner. It takes only a few
seconds to catch up with the first man, who is gasping for breath as he
flees.

			The Ghost
			“Where..did he..go?”

			First Bum
			“I..I don’t know..He ran..off. Don’t..kill me..”

It is too late, as the cloud has engulfed the man. He is lifted from the ground
and flies straight towards the brick wall of an apartment building. A crunching
sound is heard as he slams into the wall. The figure falls to the ground as the
smoke floats away in the wind. The shape of his body can be seen outlined by
blood on the wall of the building.

EXT. A FAST-FORWARD SCENE OF POLICE FINDING THE TWO BODIES. -NIGHT

INT. SETH LUCARN IS STANDING IN FRONT OF A COUNTER. DAY

Seth taps his foot, waiting for the owner to look through the items that
have been spilled over the glass counter.

			Seth Lucarn
“So, what do you think? Anything worth any real money
			this time, Harold?”

			Harold
“Not really sure, Seth. There’s a few things I could get
			a little from.”

			Seth
“Well, I was saving this, but maybe I can get a good deal
			for it.”

Seth pulls out a ring and places it on the counter. The ring is a mixture of silver
and gold, twisted together to form one band. The setting in the ring is onyx
inlaid with a silver S. Harold looks at the ring but doesn’t pick it up. He has
begun to sweat slightly.

			Harold
“Seth, where’d you get that from?”

			Seth
“Same place I got everything else from, Harold. Why, there
			a problem with it?”

			Harold
			“No, no problem. Just..”

			Seth
“If there’s no problem how come you’re sweating?”

			Harold
“I can’t explain it. Some things shouldn’t be taken.
You gotta remember that, Seth. Not everything is worth
as much trouble as it’s going to cause.”

			Seth
“Trouble? The guy’s been dead for fifty years, Harold.
If you’re not going to buy it, I’ll keep it for myself.”

			Harold
“Go ahead, take it. I wouldn’t give you a dime for it.”

Seth shrugs his shoulders. Harold rakes the other items into a box and opens
the cash register. He pulls out a stack of bills and hands them over to Seth.

			Seth
“Hey man, have a good day. And relax, nothing bad’s gonna
			happen.”

			Harold
“For your sake, Seth, I sure as hell hope not. Be careful.”

Seth turns away from the counter. As he does, he slides the ring on to his finger.

			Seth
			“Hey, perfect fit.”

He walks out into the sunlight, turning and walking up the sidewalk.

EXT. SCENE CLOSES WITH HAROLD SHAKING HIS HEAD AND STUFFING THE BOX BACK
UNDER THE COUNTER. - DAY

INT. INSIDE SETH LUCARN’S APARTMENT. THE PLACE HAS BEEN TRASHED COMPLETELY.
FURNITURE IS BROKEN AND THERE ARE HOLES IN THE WALLS. - DAY

The door to the apartment swings open and Seth walks inside. For the first
second, nothing seems out of place and then the realization that something
is seriously wrong hits him. He stops dead about two steps into the apartment
and looks at the mess. A gaping hole is in the wall and the couch is turned
upside down.

			Seth
			“What the...”

Before he finishes speaking he is on the move. He rushes into the bedroom, pushing
the door open to see more of the same destruction. The television has been
thrown into the ceiling and remains hanging. Seth notices none of this and instead
moves to the bed. A young woman lays there, her eyes shut. Seth grabs her shoulders, lifting her up.

			Seth
			“Julien?”

The woman’s head snaps up and her eyes open quickly. The entire surface of her eyes
are black and her mouth opens. A tongue shoots out, split down the middle so that
it resembles the tongue of a lizard. A hissing sound comes from her throat as her
skin seems to throb.

			Julien (Possessed)
			“Give it back.”

Her eyes roll into the back of her head and she goes limp again. Seth releases
her shoulders and jumps to his feet, almost falling over the table at the bedside.
Julien now begins to stir, a moan escaping as she pushes herself onto her side, holding
her head.

			Julien
			“What..what happened?”

Seth remains standing at the side of the bed, looking down at her. The blood has
drained from his face.

			Seth
“What the hell was that? Are you trying to give me a
			heart attack?”

			Julien
“What..? What are you talking about?”

She looks around the room, shaking her head to clear her eyes.

			Julien
“And what happened to the room? What did you do Seth?”

			Seth
“Me? I just got home! You’re the one freaking out and
telling me to give it back!”

			Julien
“Give it back? Give what back?”

			Seth
“That’s what I’d like to know!”

Julien climbs to her feet, grabbing the bed for support as she gets her balance
back. Looking around the room again, she sighs.

			Julien
			“This is ridiculous.”

She takes another few seconds before beginning to pick up the room. Seth turns
and walks through the bedroom door, into the living room.

			Seth (Shouting towards the bedroom)
“The rest of the apartment is the same way. I’ll start
			cleaning in here.”

EXT. SCENE ENDS WITH THE TWO CLEANING THE APARTMENT. - DAY

INT. INSIDE A BOOK SHOP, JULIEN IS CHATTING WITH THE OWNER, VAN PALLERSON. - DAY

			Julien
“It’s so weird, you know? He was gone and I know I didn’t
do any of that. There’s just no way I could have.”

			Van Pallerson
“Maybe someone broke in and knocked you out?”

			Julien
“Maybe, but nothing was stolen and nothing was wrong with
me when I woke up. I don’t know what’s going on.”

Pallerson begins to walk down the aisles of the book store, straightening as he
goes. Julien follows behind him.

			Van
“Strange things happen every day, Julien. Maybe you’re
just the latest to find that out.”

			Julien
“Maybe, Van. But..I just don’t know. He said I looked
really strange, that I said ‘Give it back.’ He said I
fainted again and then woke up right after that.”

			Van
“Odd, indeed. What is he supposed to give back?”

			Julien
“Neither of us have a clue.”

Van Pallerson begins to chuckle at this, shaking his head. He stops at a section
of the books and looks through them carefully. He takes a paper back off the
shelf and turns back towards Julien.

			Van
“Well, that’s going to make giving it back awfully
			tricky, then.”

			Julien
			“That’s for sure.”

			Van
“Here you go then, here is the book you were looking for.”

			Julien
			“Thanks a lot, Van.”

The two walk back to the counter. Van goes behind while Julien opens her purse, pulling
out a ten dollar bill. She hands it to Van who looks at it. The face of the bill
swirls quickly into a misty looking figure. Van stares at the bill. Julien snaps
him out of it.

			Julien
			“Van..are you alright?”

			Van
“Ah, yeah. I’m just a little tired, I think. My eyes are
			playing tricks on me.”

			Julien
“Maybe you should close up early and get some rest.”

Van slips the money into the cash register and counts out the change. He hands it
over to Julien, who drops it into her purse.

			Van
“I may do that. Have a good day.”

			Julien
			“You too.”

Julien exits the shop as Van Pallerson lets out a sigh. He rubs his eyes, looking
at the cash register. He turns towards the book aisles, but stops as he sees the
shape of a man inside a cloud of smoke.

			The Ghost
“I want it back..Tell him to give it back.”

Van stares at the shape as it comes closer. He tries to take a step back but
finds himself frozen in place.

			Van
“I don’t know what it is you’re talking about.”

			The Ghost
			“Ring...”

The figure turns away from Van, rushing through the store. Books fly from the
shelves as he makes his way to the end of one of the aisle, stopping and turning.
A large dusty book floats out from the shelves and flies towards the front of the
store. It hovers above the counter before slamming down. A dust cloud puffs into
the air as the book is opened. The cloudy figure once again moves to the front
of the store. A hand reaches out, pointing at the page in the book.

			The Ghost
			“Give it back.”

Van stands still, looking down at the page in the book. He looks back up, only
to see that the goes has disappeared. He sits awkwardly on his stool, pulling
the book closer and reading from the page.

			Van
“It is said that certain personal items can contain a section
of the human spirit. These items are usually buried within
the grave of the dead. Not proven to be true, most people
think this is just a way for the family to get a better grasp
that their loved one is forever departed from our world.
No matter what some say, there are still those who say that
their loved ones have come back to them through these personal
			items.”

The book slams shut, crushing the fingers on Van’s left hand between the pages.
Van releases a scream and pulls, freeing his hand. Blood is leaking from the skin
where fragments of bone have come through. Trailing down his fingers, it pools
onto the counter. The word “Ring” is formed by the crimson liquid.

EXT. VAN PALLERSON CLOSES THE SHOP AND LEAVES QUICKLY. A TRIP TO THE HOSPITAL
IS TAKEN TO REPAIR HIS CRIPPLED HAND. - DAY

INT. AT THE DOOR OF MARGARETT MILLER’S APARTMENT, VAN PALLERSON STANDS KNOCKING
WITH HIS GOOD HAND. THE DOOR OPENS. - NIGHT

Margarett stares out at Van. She looks pale and very tired. Her eyes are blood
shot and her hair is covered by a scarf.

			Margarett
“Van, I was expecting you. What happened?”

			Van
“Maggie, something bad is happening. Julien Sanders was
in the store today telling me about something involving
her boyfriend, Seth. When she left, I was attacked.”

			Margarett
			“Attacked, by whom?”

			Van
“Not by whom, by what. It wants its ring, whatever it is. It
made that point clear before it nearly cut my fingers off.”

			Margarett
“I’ve been having bad dreams, so much so that I haven’t
gotten much sleep. I have a feeling this is all part of
			the same thing, Van.”

EXT. THE TWO CONTINUE TO DISCUSS THE HAPPENINGS. THE CAMERA PANS TO THE WINDOW
AND THEN OUTSIDE. - NIGHT

INT. SETH LUCARN IS BACK ON THE JOB. HE STALKS QUIETLY THROUGH THE PATH OF THE
CEMETERY, CAREFULLY CHECKING THE GRAVE STONES - NIGHT

			Seth
“Come on, there’s gotta be something here worth while.”

He shines his light over a statue and begins to smile. Pulling the bag from his
shoulder he drops it to the ground and then begins to dig inside. He pulls out
two pieces, snapping them together to form a shovel.

			Seth
			“Something big, something big!”

He begins to dig, throwing the dirt out of the way. After about fifteen minutes
of constant digging he stops, breathing deeply.

			Seth
“Six feet is too much. They need to start making it three at
			the most.”

He resumes digging, finally hitting the wood of the casket. Brushing away the dirt
on the lid, he pulls a pry bar from his bag and goes to work opening the casket.
The wood is rotted, nearly seventy years old. A few tugs and it pops open with
ease. Seth leans back, placing a mask over his face to keep the smell away.

			Seth
“God, the stench of these things. I don’t know how I ever
			got into this.”

He pokes around the skeleton within the casket. Around the neck is a golden chain
with a large ruby pendant. He unclasps the chain and drops it into his bag before
going deeper. At the side of the casket is a silver figurine. Seth picks it up
and looks at it.

			Seth
			“Gotta be worth something.”

As he goes to put the figurine in his bag, he stops and looks at it again. The
head is spinning around. It comes to rest looking directly at him. The mouth opens
and steam shoots out. He drops it quickly, climbing out of the grave. He runs
straight into what feels like a brick wall, falling back onto the earth.

			Seth
			“What the hell?”

Hovering above him is a large shape, not quite the same shape that a human makes.
The edges are blurred. The figure reaches down, grabbing the shirt of Seth and
pulling him up.

			Seth
“Who are you, and what’re you doing here?’

The figure becomes clearer as the head fades into view. A smile comes over his
face, revealing black teeth.

			Ghost
“Just call me Maynard, my friend. Someone’s been looking for
you, oh yes they have. He’s an angry, angry man. He wants
back what you took, and he won’t rest til he gets it. If he
don’t rest, I don’t get to rest, you see?”

			Seth
“I haven’t taken anything from anyone!”

			Maynard
“Did I not just catch you dipping your hands into someone’s
grave, taking what don’t belong to you?”

Seth keeps his mouth shut now. He looks around for a way to escape, but Maynard
snatches him back to reality, lifting him high above the ground.

			Maynard
“You ain’t going nowhere. I was told to find you, and I’ve
done that. You got some bad times ahead of you if you don’t
give it back, you got that? I’m giving you a fair warning now.
Consider me Casper. At the same time, the man looking for
you might as well be the devil himself. And he’s angry. You
did wrong by him, and he is gonna be sure you pay for
			your mistakes.”

Seth is hurled at the ground, driven into the dirt by Maynard. Maynard’s figure
turns away, whistling as he floats along the ground. He begins to sing as he fades
away.

			Maynard
“Don’t come stealing in my home no more. Don’t come taking
what’s mine. We’re gonna meet again, for sure. Cause you’ve
			done took what’s mine..”

EXT. SETH LAYS UNCONSCIOUS IN THE DIRT AS THE NIGHT PASSES BY. - NIGHT

INT. SETH IS WOKEN BY THE FOUR FIGURES STANDING OVER HIM. - DAY

Julien, Harold, Van and Margarett are gathered in the room. Seth is laying in the
bed, and as he tries getting up he groans in pain. He forces himself to sit up on
the side of the bed. Margarett turns towards him and holds out the ring.

			Margarett
“Do you know what you’ve done? You’ve stolen from the dead, Seth.
The dead aren’t forgiving, they will take back what belongs
to them and make everyone in their way suffer. You’ve gotten
			us all involved in this.”

			Seth
“Give me a break! Some fruit cake is running around the cemetery
thinking it’s his home and attacks me, and you all think
			it’s over that little ring?”

Van steps forward, holding out his hand.

			Van
“This isn’t from some crazy man, this is something I saw
happen myself. I saw what did this to me, and I know why it
did it! You’ve pissed him off, Seth.”

			Harold
“Now you know why I wouldn’t buy that thing, Seth? It had
nothing to do with it not being valuable. It’s probably
worth more than anything you ever sold me, but I didn’t want
			to face what was coming.”

Seth pushes to his feet. Julien stands at his side, helping him keep his balance.

			Julien
“Give the ring back, put it back where you got it so this can
all go away. We can stop worrying then.”

			Margarett
			“It isn’t that easy.”

EXT. AS THE STORY IS BEING TOLD TO SETH AND JULIEN, WE CUT TO A SCENE OF THE PAST. - DAY

INT. A CROWD IS IN THE STREET. ONE FIGURE STANDS OVER THE OTHER. THERE ARE THREE
POLICE WITH THEIR GUNS POINTING AT THE CHEST OF THE MAN. - DAY

The man standing over the fallen body looks around with amusement in his eyes.
He is dressed in all black, his hair is tied back and a black hat is tilted slightly
on his head. He looks to the group of police officers.

			Man
“Hey there, you gonna shoot me or what? A little worried
			something bad’s gonna happen?”

			Police Chief
			“Sebastian, put down the knife!”

			Sebastian
“Hey, you know my name. Must’ve been doing some research there.
			Taking time between the doughnuts.”

			Police Officer 1
“Listen Sebastian, if you put down the gun and surrender
this will go a lot easier!”

			Sebastian
“It’ll go easier for you, maybe. I’m going down either
way, right? I should take a couple of people with me. After all
I did for this shit-hole, you’re gonna try to bring me down for
killing some ass who was gonna shiv me in the fucking neck when
I turned my back to him? I’ve built this place up from a
puddle in the middle of nowhere to a city people want to live
in, and you’re gonna bust me for getting rid of some scum
			that’s leaked in?”

The police advance forward, trying to close in around Sebastian. He lifts his
gun, pointing it at the first cop. The cop stands still, holding his own gun
up. Sebastian shakes his head, gripping his pistol tightly. He pulls the trigger
and the cop falls instantly, a bullet hole in his head. The other two cops begin
shooting towards Sebastian, who turns and pulls out a second pistol. He points
each gun at each cop and pulls the trigger, dropping both into the dirt.

			Sebastian
“Stupid fucker, neither of you bastard’s got a thing on me.
I’m the biggest man you’ll ever see.”

Sebastian turns his attention to the gathered crowd. He begins to yell at them.

			Sebastian
“You see this? I built this pathetic dump and I’m going to
tear it down. You people hide when I walk down the street, your
kids call me the devil. Well I’m going to give them a reason
to fear me, a reason to hide!”

He points the pistols into the crowd and begins firing randomly. With each shot
another person falls into the dust. A bullet flies into the leg of a small
child, shattering the bone of his shin. The child drops down, screaming in
pain. Sebastian walks on, stepping onto his chest without even looking down.

			Sebastian
“You took everything I offered and now you’re running from
me. You belong to me. None of you will ever get away.”

In his last moments of insanity, Sebastian fired off four bullets. The first
implanted itself into the head of a mother carrying a baby. The second found its
way into an elder mans neck. The third and forth ripped through the hearts of a
couple. The woman still in her wedding dress and the man in his tuxedo. Sebastian
looks down at them, shaking his head as he pushes past them. A finger against the
back of both heads tips them into the dirt.

			Sebastian
“Sorry about this, sis. Things don’t always work out the
			way you plan them to.”

A final bullet was fired, this one coming from neither of Sebastian’s pistols. It
came from the shotgun of a local store owner and it shattered the spine of Sebastian
as it drove itself into his back. Sebastian dropped to the ground, his eyes closing
slowly as he fell.

			Sebastian
			“Oh shit..”

EXT. THE SCENE FADES, THE LAST IMAGE IS THE RING ON SEBASTIAN’S DYING HAND. - DAY

INT. BACK INSIDE THE ROOM. MARGARETT IS LOOKING DOWN AT THE RING IN HER HAND.

			Margarett
“He will come, be sure of that. No where you go will be
safe, because he died in a fit on insanity. He lives on in
that same rage. He has always been mad.”

A knock at the door. Everyone turns as Margarett steps forward. Another knock, louder
and harder. A third knock and none of them move to answer the door. Finally, a
hand punches through, ripping the wood like paper. The door is opened and Maynard
steps in. He looks at Seth and grins.

			Maynard
“Told you we’d be seeing each other again. I’m sure you all
know, it’s too late. He’s beyond just wanting it given back.
He wants to take it back. I sure would hate to be in your
			shoes.”

Maynard laughs deeply as his image fades away. The sound of boots can be heard
outside the door, thudding against the wooden floor. A man walks into the frame,
no longer a cloudy shape.

			Sebastian
			“Howdy..”

He lifts up both hands and looks at them before looking over the group of five.

			Sebastian
“Can you guess what I’m missing?”

			Seth
“Look you can have your ring back! Just let us go!”

Sebastian shakes his head, opening his coat and pulling the pistols from inside. A
smirk crosses the shadowed face beneath the hat.

			Sebastian
“Let you go? I’ve been dead a pretty good while, my friend.
Thanks to you, I’m not stuck inside a wooden box anymore.
The last thing I was thinking when I died was maybe I’d
finally belong somewhere. If I made it into heaven, I’d
be showered with love and angels would fly around feeding
me grapes. If I made it into hell I could at least burn with
			the best of them.”

			Sebastian
“That was all bullshit, though. I was stuck inside a dead
body looking up at wooden slats that made up my casket. All
I could do was stare. Then I got to see something I hadn’t
seen in forever. I got to see the sky when you pried the lid
off. All you wanted was some quick money, but you got a hell
			of a lot more.”

Sebastian lifts the pistol in his right hand and considers each person for a second.
He stops at Harold, lowering the gun to his leg. He pulls the trigger and the bone
in Harold’s leg seems to explode. He falls to the ground screaming in pain.

			Sebastian
“Been a while since you’ve felt that, huh? Sounds like you
			missed it.”

He points the gun at Harold’s head, pulling the trigger again. A spray of blood
stains the floor as Harold’s cries are cut in mid-sound. Sebastian places the gun
back in its spot, stepping forward. He snatches the ring from the hand of
Margarett, sliding it on his finger.

			Sebastian
“Don’t get your hopes up. We aren’t finished. I got back what
I came for, but I’m still mighty pissed off that it was taken
in the first place. I’ll see each of you again. Guess it’s a
good thing I’ve got a beautiful face, because it’s going to
be the last sight you ever see.”

Sebastian turns away from the remaining four, walking back into the door frame. His
form blurs and fades away into smoke.

EXT. MARGARETT, SETH, JULIEN AND VAN REMAIN. THE SUN IS STARTING TO LOWER BEHIND
THE CLOUDS AS THE SCENE ENDS. - DAY

INT. THE SUN IS RISING AS THE DOOR OPENS SLOWLY.

The four have fallen asleep after disposing of the body of Harold. The voice
startles them back to reality.

			Sebastian
“Guess who’s back, my dear little friends. Time to rise
and shine. Can’t afford to over sleep.”

Van is the first up. His face is blood red as he yells into the face of the ghost.

			Van
“Leave us alone! You have your ring, and you have already
killed Harold! Go back to hell!”

Sebastian makes one quick motion, grabbing Van by the throat and lifting him high
into the air. He charges forward, ramming into the wall. A smile spreads over his
face as he presses his nose against Van’s.

			Sebastian
“I came to finish off what I started so long ago. This is
			about more than a ring.”

Sebastian tightens his grip on the throat of Van, backing away.

			Sebastian
“I killed your mother while she held you in her arms, sweet
Van. An infant crying as his mothers blood soaked his diaper.”

Van’s face sinks as Sebastian says the words. He uses his right hand to swing at the
head of Sebastian, but he takes the shot and laughs. Sebastian shakes his head, turning
and throwing Van across the room. Van crashes into the coffee table, falling to
the floor. Blood begins to trickle from his mouth as he gasps for air.

			Van
“You can kill me..I can be with the mother you took away from
me. Killing us won’t bring you back, it won’t give
you satisfaction. You’re dead, there’s nothing you can do
			about it.”

Sebastian’s face twists into a skeleton-like head. He crashes forward with three
steps. He lifts his boot above Van’s head.

			Sebastian
“Foolish old man. I will feast on your soul. No one will be
able to stop me from destroying you all!”

The foot drops, crushing the skull of Van with ease. Julien doubles over, gagging
as blood squirts across the floor. A gurgling sound can be heard from the throat of
Van as his last breath exits his body. Sebastian wipes the blood from the bottom
of his boot onto the carpeting.

			Seth
“If you want to kill me, then do it! Leave the rest of
			them alone!”

Sebastian turns, appearing right in the face of Seth. He slaps him backwards into
the wall.

			Sebastian
“This is beyond anything your miserable life could conceive.
One more withered body to destroy, and then I can take out
you and your pretty little girlfriend.”

Sebastian turns towards Margarett, looking into her eyes.

			Sebastian
“You, my dear Margarett, are going to die by the time the
sun goes down. Anything you saw for your own future is false.
I am the prophet that will murder you and take your soul as
			my property.”

Laughter is heard as the figure fades away into dust.

EXT. SETH IS GETTING TO HIS FEET WITH THE HELP OF JULIEN AS MARGARETT WALKS INTO THE
BEDROOM OF THE APARTMENT. - DAY

INT. INSIDE THE BEDROOM, MARGARETT RESTS ON HER BED. SHE PLACES HER FACE INTO HER HANDS
AND BEGINS TO SOB.

She wipes the tears from her eyes, pulling the drawer open and reaching inside. She
pulls out a small knife, looking at it carefully.

			Margarett
“I always knew this day would come. I had hoped that it could
be avoided, but there is nothing that can be done now. If I
am dead, maybe he will leave those two alive. I pray that
			he will..”

Margarett holds the knife up to her chest. Her hands tremble as she presses the tip
into her skin. With her final effort she shoves it in, gasping as blood begins to
stain her shirt.

			Margarett
“Go to hell, Sebastian. I escaped you, and I always will!”

She slumps backwards onto her bed, coughing a spurt of blood. Her chest rises and
falls one last time.

EXT. SETH OPENS THE DOOR TO MARGARETT’S ROOM TO FIND HER ALREADY DEAD. HE SLAMS THE
DOOR AS THE SCENE CLOSES. - DAY

INT. BACK INSIDE THE LIVING ROOM, JULIEN AND SETH SIT ON THE COUCH. THE TWO ARE
CUDDLED TOGETHER, JULIEN IS ASLEEP BUT SETH REMAINS AWAKE. - DAY

Seth sits, running his fingers through the hair of Julien. The sound of foot steps are
heard from the outside hall. The lights flicker, leaving the room in a dim state.

			Sebastian (From Outside)
“Seth, it’s time to pay your debt. Seems Margarett checked out
early, and that makes me even more angry.”

Sebastian turns, standing in the door. His hair is loose, hanging down to his shoulders.
His hat is tilted slightly and in his hands are his pistols.

			Sebastian
“What shall it be? Should I execute you, or should I torture
you a bit first? Maybe even let you watch as your girlfriend
			has her face eaten off.”

Sebastian takes a step forward. He puts the pistols into his coat, and pulls out a
long knife. Seth stands, walking forward.

			Seth
“Leave her alone, take me and leave.”

			Sebastian
“So loyal and romantic, but I’m afraid that wouldn’t be any
			fun.”

Seth is hurled across the room, landing on the floor. Sebastian is crouched over
Julien right as she sits up, just waking from sleep. Sebastian lifts the blade, holding
it against the skin of her cheek.

			Sebastian
			“So sweet and innocent.”

Sebastian presses the blade into the skin of Julien’s cheek. Blood blooms on the skin
as the blade slices downward. The knife is pulled away from behind. Sebastian stands
to see the three from his past standing before him. Van, Harold and Margarett all
stand before the ghost of Sebastian. The three engulf him, ripping away with bare
hands.

			Sebastian
“No! Get away from me! You can’t do this!”

Sebastian screams as the three figures continue to tear away at his spirit. When
they finally back away, the fading form of Sebastian is on the ground, withering
in pain.

			Sebastian
“This is impossible! I am better than you all..This can’t
			happen!”

The body fades away, leaving a darkened spot on the floor. Seth climbs to his
feet, holding his side as he stumbles over to Julien. She gets to her feet, wiping
the blood away from her cheek. Both look at the three forms hovering before them.

			Margarett
“There was no way for him to be stopped from the physical
world. We had to let it go this far to save your lives.”

			Van
“We survived his first rampage, and for us to put you over
our ending lives in his second would be selfish.”

			Harold
“You are both young and have your lives ahead of you.
Just remember, things you do come back on you two-fold..”

The three figures fade away, leaving Seth and Julien alone in the apartment. Both
look around at the trashed room before walking into the hall way.

EXT. JULIEN AND SETH WALK DOWN THE HALL TOGETHER, SETH WITH HIS ARM OVER THE SHOULDERS
